Daniel h. disney's photogrphic & sketch images for roman catholic CATHEDRAL of our lady of the angels in los angeles, california...
Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels
SEPTEMBER 2002...
"This is my photographic art concept (May of 2002) of the Roman Catholic Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles, California. The large Bell Tower is in the right background adjoining the inviting and beautifully landscaped Cathedral Courtyard.
When I created these images, construction was ongoing and the images shown were completely covered with scaffold and construction people. The fountain construction in the foreground had not been started at this point. The many trees and other plantings were in their infancy at this point! Olive and Palm Trees imported for the Cathedral from The Holy Land.
I created this view using a special lens prior to the Cathedral construction completion. There were actually several scaffolding and other construction materials covering the exterior of the Cathedral as well as an entire courtyard filled with countless building materials and many construction professionals. And this was the first time +Roger Cardinal Mahony, the Archbishop of Los Angeles, and Monsignor Kevin Kostelnik, the Cathedral Pastor, and the other officials were able to actually see and visualize the Cathedral Fountain in the foreground in the lower entry courtyard. The following pages will show the numerous art graphics I created for the various departments within the Cathedral. My work was coordinated and always received the personal approval of +Roger Cardinal Mahony. Daniel continues to create some of the graphic art work for the Cathedral."

Disney and Charles Elias Disney that were issued for the numerous opening Dedication Masses of the Church and Altar and other services at the time the new Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles, California opened in September of 2002. Dan and Charles created each graphic to be associated with the particular religious celebration in the Cathedral.

keepsake booklets: the sacred bond between the (Oldest) baltimore cathedral and the (newest) cathedral of our lady of the angels created by daniel h. disney...
Keepsake Booklets commemorating the sacred bond between America’s First and Oldest Roman Catholic Cathedral and America’s Newest Cathedral...This stunning keepsake booklet was a collaboration between the Baltimore, Maryland Cathedral (America’s First Roman Catholic Cathedral) and the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles, (America’s newest Cathedral). Daniel represented the Cathedral in Los Angeles and created the graphics and texts. (W. E. Disney created the prayer published herein.) Over one million of these stately booklets were distributed throughout the special one year religious exhibit that showcased the “Cathedra” (Bishop’s Chair) and other artifacts graciously loaned from the Baltimore Cathedral and displayed in the Los Angeles Cathedral (2002-2003) in one of the beautifully appointed galleries inside the new Cathedral.
Each of the images Daniel highlighted were representative of beautiful art renderings included in each of the two Cathedrals. And both Cathedrals are enriched by the many, many artists who created their images that inspire pilgrims who come into these sacred spaces from every corner of the world. This sacred holy art also serves to directly link the historical nature to the holy nature of these Roman Catholic Cathedrals!
“Simply awe-inspiring and stunning! Traditional and secular renderings that will inspire the millions of pilgrims coming today, and forever coming in the future...!”
